TCCB is TEI’s one-piece molded short-fiber carbon-ceramic rotor — a carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic matrix composite (C/SiC). A 1.1 mm silicon carbide friction coating delivers stable braking from −40 °C ultra-low temperatures through sustained high-performance use. Available in diameters from 355 mm to 440 mm.
Molded short-fiber construction is the volume-production carbon-ceramic process — stable, consistent, and the architecture used for OEM high-performance braking on supercars and high-end passenger vehicles. It is the choice that balances performance with practicality.
Fine hairline cracks in the SiC-coated surface are a normal characteristic of every carbon-ceramic disc: the coating and the disc body contract at different rates during manufacturing, and this crackle pattern releases the internal stress. The outer edge and inner bore are left uncoated on purpose to prevent edge chipping in assembly and transport.
Pads: carbon-ceramic discs must run TEI CS1 or CS2 compound pads only — compounds engineered specifically for the SiC-coated CCB surface. M1, M2, R1 and R2 compounds must not be used on carbon-ceramic discs.

If you already run a TEI brake kit, its hat and brackets are the matching pair for these rotors. Pads are sold separately, and only the CS1 or CS2 compounds are compatible (see the pads note above).
