Watch the build

Vehicle

A BMW X5 that tows. Solo it is one braking job; with a trailer behind it the front axle carries a very different load, and the standard setup is built for the first case.

Selected setup

Spec Detail
Caliper TEi SR10 — ten-piston, forged
Rotor 400 mm, full-floating
Wheels 20-inch or larger

Why ten pistons for a towing SUV

The SR10 puts ten pistons on a forged body and pairs them with a 400 mm full-floating disc. The floating disc expands and contracts independently of its hub as it heats and cools, which is what keeps it true under repeated loaded stops rather than warping after one long descent.

This is a kit built for sustained load, not a single hard stop. Towing means the brakes are asked to shed energy continuously rather than in bursts, and that is a thermal problem before it is a force problem.

Fitment

The SR10 fits 20–22-inch wheels. Clearance depends on spoke profile as much as on diameter, so send us the model, year, trim and wheel specification and we will confirm rotor size and clearance before you order.
