Vehicle
A Range Rover L322 on 20-inch wheels and 285/50 R20 tyres. Around 2.5 tonnes, and asked to handle everything from motorway speed to gravel in a single drive. Both axles were upgraded.
Selected setup
| Axle | Caliper | Rotor |
|---|---|---|
| Front | TEI S-X10 — ten-piston, monoblock forged | 400 × 36 mm, full floating |
| Rear | TEI P40NS-R — four-piston | Floating, two-piece |
Why ten pistons up front
Ten opposed pistons spread clamping force across a long pad face instead of concentrating it on a short one. On a heavy vehicle that means the pad wears evenly rather than tapering, and the pedal stays linear as the discs come up to temperature. The S-X10 body is forged from a single billet of 6082 aerospace aluminium with a heat-dissipation gasket between the halves, and carries 56.43 cm² of piston area.
The 400 × 36 mm front rotor is full floating — the disc expands and contracts independently of its hub as it heats and cools, which is what keeps it true under repeated hard stops instead of warping.
Fitment
S-X10 fits 20–22-inch wheels; P40NS-R fits 17–20-inch. Clearance depends on spoke profile as much as on diameter, so send us the model, year, trim and wheel specification and we will confirm rotor size and clearance before you order.
